There is a public domain software BeaverGate Bridge from University of Toronto. It acts as a QuickMail bridge for the SMTP world and requires a Mac II (Mac Plus, Classic cannot be used). The most interesting feature is that it does not need to register the users (as most of others). The current version we run here can be obtained via anonymous ftp at 'gwmail.epfl.ch' (128.178.50.6). As it is a VAX/VMS you need to do 'cd mail' then 'cd beaver' and then get the file 'beavergate.sit_hqx'. Just unBinHex and unStuffIt to have a folder with all you need.
