I did some testing lately when I happened to notice
that one of my many comm tools was quite a bit
faster than the others.  Specifically if I send
to the screen the contents of a 10K file, I found
that VersaTerm was 4 times faster than either 
SmartCom, White Knight, Zterm or MicroPhone.

When it came to file transfers, zmodem beat xmodem
by about 2 times.  Too bad that VersaTerm doesn't do
zterm.
