We are using a terminal emulation package to access a CD-ROM gateway which runs MS-DOS-based search engines to retrieve data from the CD-ROMs. Since we're having the Macs act as terminals, users can print to their "slave printer" (as DEC VMS calls them) attached to their Macs, but can't "download." For the MS-DOS users, we have a program which can be turned on and off to redirect information destined for the printer to a file instead. Is there something like this for the Mac? It would have to be something the user could turn on and off at will, during a work session. Thanks for any info!
