This is supposes to be a last resort thing, and you will need another software package--Mactools (comes as a part of Copy II Mac). Open Mactools and find your desired file in the list. The list is hierarchial like the windows for any open command. When you have your file, click and highlight it. Under the File menu, select the InfoEdit option. When the window appears, in File Type section type- WDBN, and in the File Creator type- MSWD. Quit Mactools. Open your file with Word. I used this technique when I was desperate to salvage a term paper. I have since then found other creative uses for this procedure. Akash. akash@ravel.udel.edu University of Delaware.
