Anyone anything about them and which is the >best? > Well, I am the author of two of the "Desktop Printer" applications, so I am a bit biased ;). The two that I have written are DTPrinter, the first "desktop printer" for the Mac, and easyPrint (from SF/O). DTPrinter was released as freeware at MacHack a couple of years ago, and I have since updated a couple of times. DTPrinter 1.1 (the current version) is still freeware and should be locatable on the FTP site (or online service) of your choice. easyPrint is the commercial big brother of DTPrinter which is published by SF/O (no relation to the airport ;) and lists for $29.95. It offers some nice enhancments over DTPrinter and the new easyPrint 2.0 is quite ARA-savvy - even so far as to automatically "login" to the remote printer, initiate the job, and then "logoff". The only others that I have seen are (IMHO) not as nice/easy to use, full features or are MUCH more expensive. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leonard Rosenthol Internet: leonardr@netcom.com Director of Advanced Technology AppleLink: MACgician Aladdin Systems, Inc.
