MS Word document ruler size on the Classic

Hi,

I use MS Word 5.0 as my word processor on my Classic with a 9 inch monitor.

The papers I write are usually 6.5 inches wide, leaving a 1 inch margin on both
sides of the printed paper. Because the compact Macs have screens less the
6.5 inches wide, I have to scroll the window to read parts of a document.
However, I occasionally opened up files that have a narrower ruler so that the
entire page would fit on the small screen. Could someone tell me how I can
change the program's default so that every new document would fit on the
small screen?

Any response would be greatly appreciated. Please write to me through e-mail
or post the solution on the net.

Thanks.

Sonny Hsu
