PictureBase was a good old image database. First you put all your clip art (PNTGs and PICTs only) into files called Libraries, and then you typed in keywords to describe each image. Inputting the keywords took quite a long time, but after it was done, you could use the PB Retriever desk accessory to search for images by keyword. The interface was a little offbeat, and searches on a Mac Plus could take a while (about 5 minutes for about 60 libraries of roughly 15 images each), but it did the job. Old as it is, it still works on System 7.0.1.
