DiskDoubler does encrypt files.  If you are using the patchers uploaded
to online services then you are running the international version which
doesn't have encryption (For example:  version 3.7.7 is a domestic
version and 3.7.7i is a international version).  The distribution of
the domestic version is restricted to the U.S. and Canada.  If you
are within these regions and want the domestic version you can call
Fifth Generation Systems technical support/customer service at 1-800-766-7283
and have a disk sent out to you.

No conversion is needed.  The compression methods are the same but
the algorythm is improved.

AutoDoubler 2.0 doesn't loose it settings.  That problem
originally existed in 1.0.4 and thought fixed in 1.0.5.  The latest
version of AutoDoubler 1.0.X is 1.0.7.
