Unchangeable HD icon

I am currently using a Mac IIfx with System 7.0. I cannot cut and paste icons
into the get info box for my HD. File sharing is turned OFF. I couldn't
rename it until a few days ago when I got a copy of MacSnoop. I had to update
the SCSI driver before I could even do that (rename volume).

Two other suggestions were to turn off Appletalk, then try to rename it and
reboot from a diskette. Neither of these helped. Is there a resource some-
where that can lock the HD icon. If so, where is this resource kept? Are
my troubles stemming from not using System tuner 1.1.1? If you know a way to
fix such a problem in ResEdit, please let me know. Send any suggestions to the
email address below. Thanks in advance.
