	Unless you're doing major geneological research, I recommend
getting Personal Ancestral Filer from the Church of the Latter Day
Saints (Mormons).  As I'm at work, I don't have details but as I
recall it was <$100.  When I was asking around, I was told this was
the best for smaller databases (i.e. <3-4K entries).  If you get
larger, then get Reunion as recommended in the other reply to your
message.

	I've currently got 1200+ entries in my database.  The only
complaint I've had is that it doesn't allow for entry of unmarried
couples having children.  My solution has been to make an entry in the
notes about the "marriage."  No troubles with compatibility, it even
runs under A/UX!

	Oh, one other thing, if you do order from the Mormons don't
use your credit card.  They charge it as a Cash Advance rather than a
Purchase.  Most cards charge immediate interest for advances; mine
told me there was nothing they could do about it.
