I just received a copy of Alge-Blaster (educational software, designed to teach algebra). I thought it would be entertaining, but the un-opened box makes it seem otherwise. Does anyone out there in Greater Netland have experience with Alge-Blaster? Is it fun for kids to use? Side issue 1: I would like to recommend Number Munchers...my 3rd grader (math level) loved it for a couple of months (until she discovered the other shoot-em-up games on the Mac). Her memorization of the times tables increased, and she got a lot better at mental math (15 - 9 =, 44 / 4 =, etc.). Side issue 2: I got Alge-Blaster from MacConnection, and was pleased that they have (and answer) an 800 number for return authorizations. Compare to an experience a couple of months ago with DAK Co., who NEVER answered their numbers for return authorizations. If you buy a defective product and cannot get a return authorization number, you are stuck with it. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = _ Miles Abernathy, N5KOB = | |__ miles@emx.cc.utexas.edu = _| | POB 7580, Austin TX 78713 = \ * / University of Texas @ Austin = \/ tel.
