There is clearly a bug in Statview 4.0 that causes periodic system crashes 
when trying to print on *SOME* systems.  

In our case we are printing on a LaserWriter on an AppleTalk Network.  Jobs 
print but the program or the machine crashes afterwards (about half the 
time!).

Abacus is aware of the problem [I called then three times today (-:] and they 
say that they are workin on a fix.  They further stated that the problem is 
related to TrueType fonts.  

Problem is, I'm working in system 6.0.8 and I don't have TrueType fonts 
installed (I check with Font DA mover).  I have even gone to the trouble of 
removing the TrueType fonts from the PrintServer (which runs AppleShare 
3.0 on system 7.0.1), and restarting the entire system (workstations, server 
and printer).  We still crash about half the time!

The problem effects both system 6.0.8 and system 7 (I tried it both ways).  
Interestingly it doesn't crash on my home system (PB170, system 7.0.1, 
StyleWriter, Truetype installed).  

I'm awaiting their bug fix (still in testing, I won't get it soon), and I'm p***ed 
o**.  This version has been out for months, I can't believe that we are the only 
one with the problem.

thread.
