I downloaded an App, when expanded it shows up with a padlock on the bottom LH corner. Obviously I can't open it as it's locked. Trouble is it won't let me trash it either, message is " Operation cannot be completed as you don't have sufficient privileges for some items' Any suggestion welcome (obvious or otherwise) Thanks Michael

Command-I or File -> Get Info Click to remove the tick from the "Locked" button. Should be deletable now :) Amos

If you are an administrator, you should then be able to enter your password and proceed. Cathy -- "there's a dance or two in the old dame yet." - mehitabel C.Stevenson, M.D. cats1921@sonic.net

You might try one or two utilities which you can get at versiontracker.com. One is BatChMod; another is TrashIt. Another thing you can do is boot from OS 9 (if you can do so) and then trash the file from 9. Cathy -- "there's a dance or two in the old dame yet." - mehitabel C.Stevenson, M.D. cats1921@sonic.net
