Hi All,

I would appreciate hearing from anyone using the above scanne. I
purchased my machine approximately six months ago and have never been
able to get it to perform satisfactorily. It does a reasonable job when
scanning to printer. When a document is scanned to the computer it is
unreadable on the computer screen. This situation is a real pain and
limits the scanners use.

My previous scanner was a Visioneer PaperPort and this was a great
little machine. When upgrading to a USB iMac 400 I stupidly allowed it
to be sold with the rest of my gear, which today I regret .

Thank you in anticipation ,

Stan Robinson.

I saw a report on this on TechTV and it didn't get such hot ratings.

Stan,

I bought a Canoscan FB630 and have had no problems with it, in fact for the
money/size I am quite impressed !

I am using it with the original software supplied on the C.D. it came with
on a G4/400.

I can print through to an Epson 740 with no problems and excellent results,
scanning to computer/disk is no problem either.

You might like to try downloading the latest drivers and trying again, have
a look at:

Have you tried using the scanner on another Macintosh or even a USB equipped
P.C. to establish where the problem really is ?

If you continue to have problems, ask the company you bought the scanner
from for assistance, after all part of what you paid them for the unit is
for after sales service support.

As a last resort, send details of your problems to:
stubbs_glenn@ca.canon.com.au

Best wishes,

M.H.
