--Cyberdog-AltBoundary-00034879 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Hi, I am looking for a electronic circuit drawing program for Mac, preferbly public domain. I want the program have ready made objects such as Resistor, capacitor, IC chips and so on, and preferbly with smart line features which the line still remain connected with two objects, even one of it has moved. Also, I want to be able to save as PICT files, or other type which can be imported into Adobe PageMaker. Can someone tell me is such program exist?? Where can I get one? Thankyou in advance. Thomson. P.S. If there is no such program on Mac, is there one on Windows 3.1? --Cyberdog-AltBoundary-00034879 Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="Cyberdog-MixedBoundary-0003487A" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit --Cyberdog-MixedBoundary-0003487A Content-Type: text/enriched; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <X-FONTSIZE><PARAM>12</PARAM><FONTFAMILY><PARAM>Geneva</PARAM>Hi, I am looking for a electronic circuit drawing program for Mac, preferbly public domain. I take it you're an engineer and not afraid to deal with a programming level system. In that case check out the work of Niklaus Wirth (yes, the founder of Pascal, Modula and Oberon, and builder of numerous workstations) at the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. There is a publication of him called "Digial Circuit Design", Springer Verlag, 1995 and a software system available in source code called "Lola". There is also a Technical Report on Lola, available from the ETH FTP servers. Lola is implemented in Oberon (the language) and runs under Oberon (the system). Various implementations of both exist for the Macintosh. The system is a bit awkward at first (it takes over the Mac and has its own windowing system), but many engineers seem to like it (it's not unlike Plan-9 from AT&T in GUI appearance). ftp://ftp.inf.ethz.ch http://www.ethz.ch/HomePage_EN.html An excellent starting point for checking out Oberon is Guy laden's homepage at http://www.math.tau.ac.il/~laden/Ob-pkgs.html. It contains pointers to almost anything involving Oberon, including pointer to numerous technical reports. Luc -- They may well be C-Borg, They may well think resistance is futile, *I* will damn well not be ass-C-milated, thank you very much
