Anyone know of software/cards for the Mac that enables the set up of a fax-on-demand server? I'm setting up a small non-profit organisation and we would like to provide information from a database automatically, on request to clients via their fax machine. Ideally the database would run off a Macintosh server connected to a dedicated line. Unfortunately most solutions seems to be for Wintel machines, there does not appear to be much development for the Mac. So far I've found InfoFax, a Japanese developed software/card solution which seems quite simple, however many of the menus appear to be in Japanese (according to their website), which is not easy! There's also Communigate, the documentation says the fax module will handle fax-on-demand, but does not tell you how to set it up! Can anyone enlighten me? Either: 1. How to set up Communigate to supply fax-on-demand 2. Advise on alternative, user-friendly software/cards for the Mac -- "All that is comes from the mind" ----------------------------------------- Chris Byrne, Kaleidoscope http://www.cryptic.demon.co.uk/index.html

Perhaps this denotes my ignorance, but I am unsure why you feel the need for a 'card'. As for fax on demand software, there are a couple of different options. I would probably look at bingsoftware.com and their suite of products, most notably PhonePro. From there, I would probably do a search on Dejanews.com for faxback software for previous articles. Good luck. - dan
