Question: Has anyone tried running 4D as a front end to Oracle, with the Oracle server running on a Unix machine (or any other machine) & communicating to the Macs via TCP/IP? Oracle assures us that this will work, and keeping the databases on a Unix-based server gives better access and reliability; but I'd be interested in hearing from other folks before I actually spend $$ on it. Thanks, I'll summarize if any responses. -- Larry Meadows The Portland Group lfm@pgroup.com
