    This kind of makes sense, since the code changes that are adding the
increased speed are part of the server program and not your actual
database. And just for those who don't know the majority of the speed
increase is going to come from the switch in networking systems from
Shared File to Client/Server.

    I don't know for sure, but it is probably the latter.

    Nope, although I remember reading that they did a demo at one of the
major conventions (CeBit I think) and the reviewer thought that it was a
vast improvement.
