There is a product available from Metropolis Software, Inc, in California
called MSI Access. This product allows a single user 4d database to act
as a network server to up to 100 remote sites (localtalk connected),
which sites can use Hypercard, 4d, Prograph or native code. It's fast,
inexpensive, and reasonably bug free. For further information contact MSI
at (415) 322-2001 or fax to (415) 327-5579. I have used this product,
and think it will do exactly what you want, if the macs are appletalk
connected.
