This press release (which I also managed to scavange on Applelink) confirms
that an ODBC client for DAM will be written.  And I thought that making
DAM a higher level than DAL was useless at the time, it is turning out to
be a lifesaver for my project !!!

Those poor Apple Canada folks were stuck all week in Hawaii for the
annual Apple Pacific gathering. I'll get to the bottom of this week.
