Rene',

  4D Xref (I have version 2.0) is basically a REPORTING tool only.  It
  will let you print out just about any part of your database, but you
  can't make global changes or anything useful like that :-)

  In terms of what you can print out (or browse interactively), you have
  the option to print a Cross-reference of Commands, Global Procedures,
  Variables, Externals, Layouts, and the Structure.  You can also print
  all layouts and layout procedures, global procedures, menu bars, and lists.

  XRef does a nice job digesting a ream of paper.  On a mildly involved
  database, it is not unusual to get 200+ pages of output if you choose
  all options.  I team XRef up with the excellent "N-up Laserwriter"
  functionality from "DMM Laserwriter Stuff 1.3.1" in order to save my
  small chunk of forest.

  Now if we could just figure out why ACIUS thinks XRef needs it's own
  color pallette....
