4D version 2.2.3 is intended to update the users of Quadras mostly, 
without it 4D won't run on a Quadra.  There is very little improvement for 
non-quadra users.  Non-quadra users need not upgrade at this point.

you never know what other "anomolies" were fixed in that release, too.
rule of thumb for 4d: if aci goes to the trouble of releasing a fix
and upping the version number, upgrade!

ps-i think that 4d tools 2.2.2 was first distributed with 4d version
2.2.3, so there were probably more changes than you think (which
required a new version of tools).

Anyone using 4D should upgrade to 2.2.3 ASAP. Several bugs relating
to indexes corrupted by non-printing characters were fixed in this version.
