Another post in my saga of tring to print 4-across labels in Double Helix (
please no flames). I switched to alternate plan ZZ which appeared to be the
best idea yet. Someone on the net had suggested using MS-Word to mail-merge
from a "dumped" Helix text file. Well I have Works (no flames) and have
setup what looks to be the perfect format.

Now comes the tough part:

When printing 5000+ labels it is best to print in draft on an Imagewriter LQ
My label format needs 15cpi and 8 lines per inch
It seems to change the CPI on its own but it looks like it is usig a 7lpi
the only option works has is 6lpi. Any help is appreciated.

He already has his own copy of works and keeps saying "How come the IBM can
do this with no problem".

Aside note: Plan ZY involved writing a simple C program (I own a copy of
Think C 5.0) but I didn't want to invest a lot of time and money into learning
how to use the Print Manager (I am an accomplished C programmer on a UNIX
system). If I could just use a simple routine that opened a connection with
the Imagewriter LQ all a need to do is send some escape sequences followed
by the text. I still think this would work but when I posted about creating
ths routine on the mac.programming net I got no response so it must be more
than I thought.

Any response is appreciated
