getting relations to work in omnis 5

I've been trying to develope a billing system for my father-in-law for his
business. (I think offering was a BIG mistake.)  What I would like to do is
pull up the his client's name followed by a list of invoices.  The next step
would be to double click on an invoice and pull up the invoice.  I can get the
program to list invoices, but not to pull up the details.  I know my
description is a bit simplistic, but if any one has a general routine that
would work, please let me know.  I know that omnis 5 is the older of the
current releases, but I missed out on the update.  Soooooo, this is what I
have to work with.
