4D External source

Greetings!

I've been programming the Macintosh since 1985 and need to write some
externals for 4th Dimension. I've read the 4D External package cover
to cover and have come to the conclusion that the documentation suxs!

Does anyone know if there is additional external SOURCE somewhere that I
can
get my hands on? In one of my externals, I need to stuff a string array
with
data and it's not working. I'm not sure if it's the way I'm compiling my
code or what... I'll probably figure most of this stuff out, but I'm under
a deadline and needed to get something out yesterday! ;-)

I'm using Think C 5.0.3 and 4th Dimension 2.2.3. Thanks in advance.

Ed,
Have you tried compuserve. In library 3 there was an example or shell posted a
few weeks ago. I down loaded it but found is useless for me since I use Think
Pascal. The shel is in Think C so it might be more valuable to you. If you
can't get access to library 3 (only registered External kit owners do have
access) let me know and I'll down load it for you.
