Recommendations: Mac and PC DB's?

Hi,
Can anyone give me some recommendations for Databases that will allow users
to access the same data from both a Mac and a PC?.

The central database file could be on a server (Novell etc) or perhaps on
one of the machines (ie PC or Mac) Hard Disks.

Thanks for any info...
Tone.

Omnis 7 will let one access the same data from both Macs and PCs. In fact,
both platforms can run almost exactly the same program file (you need
Windows on the PC side).

If you have no need for complex relational set-ups then FileMaker
Pro 2.0 is the most cost-effective solution to a networked database that
can be accessed by both Macs and PCs running Windows. Otherwise your
only alternatives at the moment are Omnis 7 and Oracle, both of which
are quite expensive. If your feeling daring, you can always wait until
Microsoft releases the new version of FoxPro for both Mac and Windows.
