I wish to use FileMaker Pro v2.0 to catalog all of the QuickTime movies that I've captured with my new VideoVision. Can somebody please tell me if this is a 'safe' application to use? Does the movie get stored in the FileMaker Pro document? Does it cause slowness in searches etc? Any help is appreciated. I see no problem with using FM Pro to catalogue your Quicktime
movies. The picture field in FM Pro stores something like the first
frame of a Quicktime movie in the database with a pointer to the file
that the movie is contained in. There should be no slowdown on
searching.
