Performing a Global Find in FMPro

Hi,

I've got a database of addresses, for each record, I have a
company/business name and contact names within that company as a separate
field; now my question is: How can I perform a global search on all the
fields (selected fields possibly). I have seen it once being done on a FM2
runtime database of apple products, where you go to a find layout with
only one entry field on it and you type a word or phrase and the find
script finds all the records where that word occurs in any field.

I hope I was clear enough in my description.

Thanks for your responses.

Make a calculation that concatenates all the fields that you might
want to search. Then do a 'find' in that field.

You may or may not want to make this calculation stored and indexed.
