The IIfx is still a very respectable machine! Sure it's not a PPC, but it
runs the vast number of Mac software applications and is pretty darn fast
for an '030. I run Illustrator, Freehand and yes, even PhotoShop, on a
IIfx w/ 20 megs o' RAM! I've got an 8x CD-ROM, GV Plat modem and a Zip
drive attached.

I love this machine and I'm certain many others share this sentiment.
Inasmuch as the the price tags on the first IIfx's was around $10,000,
(yeah, I know about hardware depreciation) and that this baby has SIX
NuBus slots, TWO SuperDrive floppy drives and room galore inside to
tinker, I think (with a nice monitor) IIfx systems in the $600 - $900
range is not unreal.
