That's odd, I've dealt with Stas many times in the past and he has gone out
of his way to make sure everything worked fine.  I wouldn't discourage
anyone from dealing with him, I think John might just be over-reacting to
the situation.

As a reader of this newsgroup, I think I speak for the majority when I say
you should keep these personal matters between yourselves, not on these
"public" forums.  If he really did rip you off, why not take him to
"People's Court"
and have your dispute settled there?

This person knowingly sold me a hard drive with bad sectors even though I 
specified my offer was contingent on the drive having NO BAD SECTORS.  He
now 
refuses to give me a full refund, saying that "I took my chances buying on
the 
internet".  He has only offered a partial refund, saying "take it or leave 
it".  

Beware of this character.
