ImIsion is not your typical game or "battle" software. It something that draws
you in by engaging the intellect. It can be played for minutes or hours at a
time with nothing to save, learn, or remember. It may be found at the WWW and
ftp addresses below.

ImIsion 369 (and ImIsion 449) is a collection of computer puzzles based on the
5,000 year old Chinese tangram. It is somewhat similar to the puzzle game
Tangoes๏ฟฝ. However, unlike Tangoes or the tangram, ImIsion 369 (and ImIsion
449) runs on Macintosh, PowerPC, and Windows based computers and includes
software tools to assist the player in construction techniques.

The object of ImIsion is to duplicate a given puzzle using the seven marble
shapes provided. The seven shapes can be rotated or flipped 1) using a control
panel or 2) directly by doubleclicking the mouse. The only rules to ImIsion
are 1) all seven shapes must be used, and 2) none of the seven shapes may
overlap. The player has access to various tools to help in accomplishing the
puzzles, as well as an "EXPLODE" menu option that will blow apart the puzzle to
reveal a solution.

It is not the computer that makes the ImIsion Series valuable, but software
tools. The tools include an outline of the puzzle shape, vertical and
horizontal measuring rulers, and puzzle pieces that contain information
relating each piece to other pieces in the puzzle and to the puzzles
themselves. The tools are included to eliminate the trial-and-error guessing
inherent in Tangoes, and replace it with planning, analysis, and reasoning. As
Tangoes gives the player over 70 cumbersome pieces and no tools, ImIsion
provides a single software application integrated with multiple software tools
to help the player better utilize and develop spatial reasoning and analytical
thinking skills.

ImIsion is fun and entertaining, but more importantly it is focused
specifically on utilizing and developing a person's intellect. With ImIsion
software, the computer is used not as an interactive television but as a tool
to develop thinking skills.

ImIsion 369 and ImIsion 449 are shipping and, for the registered user, can be
used in three levels of play; Level 1 - Figures, Level 2 - Shapes, and Level 3
- Abstracts. The ImIsion Series, help files, and the ImIsion literature may be
downloaded from the World Wide Web at the Decision Graphics site:
