Yeah, I agree completely.  The Macintosh and Power Macintosh
versions were alpha quality, completely unstable, and deleted
from my hard drives after the first day.  The IRIX version brought
down IRIX!  I don't mind doing beta testing for free products, but 
I *do* mind being suckered into doing somebody's alpha testing for 
them unawares.  Pay me, and I'll be happy to put up with huge
gnarly alpha bugs.  Netscape should be ashamed to be calling it beta.  

Of course, Netscape should be even more ashamed by their 
terrible, terrible attempt at a news reader and mail reader.   
(Didn't they even *look* at one of the most excellent freebie 
Mac newsreaders, like Newswatcher?)

Oh well.  They're not small, lean, and hungry any more.
