While there have been a few unofficial Powermac compiles of POV-Ray about,
they have not had official support from the POV-Team. Unfortunately, that
has not (officially) changed. However, Eduard Schwan, the POV-Team's Mac
dude, has placed an 'unofficial' but pretty good fat binary of POV up at
ftp.uwa.edu.au in pub/povray/macintosh.

This archive contains a Power Macintosh native version of
POV-Ray v2.2.  There have been no feature changes from
2.2, just fixes to get it to compile under Metrowerks CW3.5
CodeWarrior development environment.  So this application
should behave identically to the native 680x0 version 2.2,
only it is about 4 times faster than a Quadra 840AV!  Note
that it is a fat binary, that is, it will work on both a
Power Macintosh AND a 680x0 Mac.  The 680x0 version is
simply the POVMAC 2.2/FPU Symantec application.

-Fat binary application for 68K/FPU and Power Macintoshes
