I have owned this drive for about five days. I bought it for $155 from NCA
in Sunnyvale (terrible service). So far, it works fine. If it's the same
model (CRD-254SH) then it is multi-session. I have no long term
reliability data for you, but as the an article in Macworld said, "A
CD-ROM drive is a CD-ROM drive."
It runs fine on my Centris, but there is one thing to be wary of: Sanyo
offers no tech number or customer support number anywhere in the manual.
Furthermore, there is no mention of how to install it in a Mac. But if you
don't mind being on your own, then for $159, this drive is hard to beat.
