CU-seeme documentation states that it won't work over 14.4 kb dialups;
they're silent on 28 Kb. The problem is the audio bandwidth. Until someone
comes up with a better audio compressor, you need at least 16kb to get
minimal audio, and you just can't hose that through a 14.4 dialup. 0.83b3
is just out and has MUCH improved audio handling (but it'll freeze the
video when someone's talking, even over a fast direct hookup). We need
about a factor of 4 improvement in general bandwidth to really make this
tecnology work. Then, of course, everyone'll want color. 8-}
