  Which version of Hard Disk ToolKit under which version of System
Software? (HDTK is currently at v2.0.6) 

  Its also quite possible that the Conner drive is defective. I've seen
a number of them arrive in that state (i.e. new drives can be defective
out of the box.) 

  The last possibility is that the P 550's Power Supply isn't robust
enough for this drive, the computer, the Floppy, and the built in 14"
color monitor all at the same time.  :(
