Zip Drives are no good for running programs off it. The Zip Disks are supposed to be used as "floppies" (ie. not intended for serious use). The disks can be chucked around like floppies without suffering any damage. I recommend an external Syjet drive if you demand speed and frequent use. It has 10ms seek/access time. Can be used for recording/cutting AV. Since the disks are hard disks, they cannot to be used as frisbees. For purely archival purposes (not for frequent use), Magneto-Optical drives are the supreme, most cost-effective choice. The disks have a simulated 40-year life expectancy (may last for 100 years) and can be chucked around without suffering any damage, plus they are not affected by magnetic field(s) at normal temperatures. == "NOSPAM means NO SPAM" Support the coalition and find out why spam is bad URL: http://spam.abuse.net/spam/ URL: http://www.feist.com/~wprescott/campaign.html For more info on email abuse read the email faq URL: http://members.aol.com/emailfaq/emailfaq.html
