- Is anyone out there using a Seagate ST42100N drive with a Macintosh. - I'm told that this model is "not recommended" for Macs, but SCSI is - SCSI so I can't imagine why not. (It's 1.9GB, full-height, Fast-SCSI-2.) I've got an ST42000N running on a PowerMac 6100/66. HDT formatted it just fine and it's decently fast. Unfortunately, the monster is a full-height 5.25 inch drive. It runs hot (more than 30 Watts) and absolutely requires forced air cooling. I built a SCSI case out of an old PC minitower that houses the ST42000N and another drive. It has two 4 inch fans just to keep everything from melting. It's noisy too -- sounds like a helicopter under my desk. What the heck, it was cheap, right? Have fun! CP
