Since you asked for additional questions: How are media defects handled? Does a formatted Zip disk ever return "bad sectors" to DOS? If not, does the formatted disk have spare sectors for silent replacement? How many? What happens when it runs out? Is write verifiction performed during i/o? What are Iomega's criteria for accepting a disk as defective uner warranty (relate to answers to above questions on defect handling). You might also point out that, cabling difficulties aside, the SCSI Zip cannot be used **ALONE** with the Adaptec/Trantor MiniSCSI series of parallel-to-SCSI adaptors because they require TERMPOWER which, stupidly, the Zip drive does not provide. They will work, however, if (still further cabling difficulties aside) another SCSI device is in the daisy chain which does provide TERMPOWER. -- Mike Schuster | schuster@panix.com | 70346.1745@CompuServe.COM ------------------- | schuster@shell.portal.com | GEnie: MSCHUSTER
