My 1710 is set to automatically recalibrate every so often and on its last automatic recalibration, after going through the whole process, I received the following error message: "An error has occurred during calibration. Default factory setting have been restored." Now my monitor is far too dark even with the brightness and contrast adjusted. The monitor is attached to a G3 (B&W) running OS 8.5.1 and I have updated with the latest displays software. Anybody got any clues as to what's happened? Thanks in anticipation Lynne

Didn't Apple recall some of these because they were defective?
