Too bad Apple gives short >shrift to the gray-scale PB's, even dropping the 5300 gray-scale. Of course, you could look at it as a cost/convenience saver to get color... I have had a 540c for 18 months now and plan to make due for another couple of years (Okay, so I got the PPC upgrade) Anyway, I have traveled something like 40,000 miles with it doing various graphical work and never even wanted to attach an external monitor. If I had got the grayscale, I would have bought an external monitor by now and been bummed by the slow external video... bummed that it was difficult and expensive to move... bummed that it wouldn't fit on my desk, etc. Don't get bummed! :-) -- Jeffrey A.
