I would like to sell my PowerBook 520c. It's less than a year old; I
have the original packing, manuals, receipts, etc.

It has a 50/25 MHz 68LC040 CPU, and dual-scan color (passive) screen. I
added 8 MB of memory to give it a total of 12 MB, and replaced the 240MB
drive with a 500 MB drive. The 500MB drive has Apple firmware and so can
be used with Apple's drive-formatting tools.

The PowerBook has only one battery, but it routinely holds an hour and
forty minutes of charge. I also have the original AC power adapter as
well, of course. I will also throw in a printer cable.

The thing has built-in ethernet (which I've found incredibly handy) as
well as an RS-422 printer/modem port, a slot for an internal modem, and
an empty bay for a second battery or PCMCIA cage. It also has built-in
speakers with 16-bit stereo sound.

The screen is good; there are no dead pixels or any banding. The case is
in perfect condition, with not so much as a scratch.

This PowerBook can be upgraded to a full 68040 for $329 (John Neil and
associates) or to PowerPC in a variety of different configurations (Newer
Tech, Apple upgrade cards).

I will also add a bunch of goodies not normally included with the 520c:

Along with the PowerBook I have an external video adapter, an HDI-30 to
DB25 SCSI adapter, and a third-part two-button ADB mouse. I also have an
Asante AAUI-ethernet-to-10baseT adapter cable for it as well.

I also have a very nice black padded carrying case in perfect condition for
all of this stuff.

All of the above will go to the first bidder for $1500. I live in the
Bay Area; if I need to ship the thing, I'd ask that you pay the shipping
charges, and pay me by COD.
