Hi all,

Well, I thought I'd seen it all with this powerbook (logic board swap,
annoying charging whine, etc.) but here's a new one:

	 Sometimes, it just won't stay shutdown!!!

I've noticed that after it's been on for a while (i.e., the machine is
warm), if I shutdown and start packing it up for transport, sometimes it
just turns itself back on. It's incredibly annoying, especially because
sometimes it will power-up in a strange state and start emitting those
"ice cream truck" tones. The only way to shut it down at that point is to
hit the rear reset button until it shuts off (but then the system is screwy
on boot). It also sometimes turns itself back on when I'm carrying it in a
computer bag (i.e., the machine is vertical in the bag).

I should also say that when I just use it as a "desktop" (i.e., leave it
plugged into the AC adapter and don't move it) it shuts down flawlessly and
stays shutdown. It's only when I start moving it around that it sometimes
starts up. Zapping the PRAM appears to help sometimes, but not always.

Has anyone else seen this behavior? Anyone else thing I should send this
back to Apple for them to exorcise the "start up ghost"? Maybe I just
should have bought that ThinkPad with Windows95 ;)
