LIND PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The Lind Portable Power Pack is specifically designed for the PowerBook
user who must operate on battery power for an extended period of time. The
APP-10 runs the PowerBook up to 4 times longer than the internal battery
operating alone and fits easily into a briefcase or the side pocket of a
computer bag. A built-in "Power Meter" accurately displays the charge
remaining in the power pack in four increments: Full, 3/4, 1/2, and Low.

The Lind Portable Power Pack contains an internal lead-acid battery with a
rated power capacity of 48 watt hours. The built-in two-stage, constant
voltage charger switches to float voltage at the completion of a full
charge. While in use, a low voltage detection circuit continuously
monitors battery voltage and automatically switches the output off when
the battery voltage reaches a safe minimum level. This prevents battery
damage due to over discharge, the most common cause of sealed lead-acid
battery failure.

The battery voltage is tightly regulated to 6.5 volts for output to the
PowerBook to assure adequate voltage without unwanted internal battery
charging. Because sealed lead-acid batteries do not suffer from "Memory
Effect," the APP-10 does not have to be fully discharged to maintain
capacity.

The Lind Portable Power Pack comes with a computer power cord to pass
power from the battery pack to the computer. It can be recharged with the
Apple AC adapter.  Works with the PB 100, 140, 145, 145b, 145b+, 160, 165,
165c, 170, 180 and 180c series.
