I've got a weird problem here with a Motorola CELLect 1+ GSM card. If I use it with a PC notebook or my Newton, it works OK. If I put it in my PowerBook, and run a terminal program such as Black Night, it seems to lock up the machine when I send characters to the modem. If I type "AT" and wait for maybe 3-4 minutes, "AT" will eventually be echoed onscreen, but it takes an eternity - during which time the machine is TOTALLY frozen except for the mouse pointer. Really bizarre. My GSM900/1800 handset is a cd928. My GSM1900 handset is a Select 3000e. Anyone using this card in a PowerBook 1400? (BTW: If anyone who's been in NY can tell me whether Omnipoint allows international roamers to use their cellular data services, that would be a great bonus). == From the Apple PowerBook 1400 of ================== Lewin A.R.W.
