Lombard internal power supply failure

Hello all

My Lombard 333 has just suffered a catastrophic failure of the internal
(mains) power supply hardware. It has burnt a hole right through the bottom
of the case. After letting it cool down I tried to boot it off the battery
and it worked fine.

I have recently installed OS X 10.1.2 but I don't know whether this was a
factor.

Has anybody else had this happen? Can it be repaired by simply replacing
the internal power supply hardware, or is it likely to be more drastic than
that? Also, any idea on what it might cost to fix?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I'd contact Apple Oz right away and let them know. There have a been a few,
very few cases of this occurring (also the Pismo), but just quietly, they
may replace the machine entirely (provided you sign something saying you'll
shut your yap about it).

Cheers,
