TWIMC,
I have an Epson Photo Stylus EX printer which I want to attach to a
10baseT network. I'm looking at using a print server, attached to the
EX's parallel port, to make it available on the LAN.

Epson markets the Epson Axis 1440 print server in the USA *ONLY* for
exactly this purpose. Web shops in the USA will not accept Visa cards
outside the USA.

I got sucked in to contacting Intelligent Technologies here, their web
site <http://www.intelligent.com> boasting that their "Intelligent Mini+"
print server will work with:

"virtually any printer with a parallel port"

...and supports MacOS. They confirmed personally that it will work with a
EX under MacOS.

It doesn't. Apparently these twits think that "virtually any printer with
a parallel port" means "postscript printers only" (nowhere on the site, or
in the manual is postscript explicity mentioned!). I'm giving them a
chance to redeem their stupidity before I <major-proctology-required> them
with their worthless print server.

Anybody out there with a *real* solution?

cya
Craig.
