can't build CW7/Mach-O dyn lib

I am trying to create dyn libs on CW7/Mach-O format.
While the sample provided works ok, I encountered what seems to be
a definition problem when adding the C++ lib ( MSL_C++_Mach-O.a )
when the locale.cpp.o is loaded from this lib
the message is:

Link Error   : common symbols not allowed with MH_DYLIB output format

/Applications/MetrowerksCodeWarrior7.0/MetrowerksCodeWarrior/MSL/MSL_C++/MSL_MacOS/Lib/Mach-O/MSL_C++_Mach-O.a.o(locale.cpp.o)
definition of common _init$localstatic4$___numeric_marker__3stdFc
(size 1)

(an there is more of the same ).

Any hints?
