I would very much like to understand what you are suggesting and what
you feel that Metrowerks should do to make things happen. You suggest
that we be like eclipse which is an open IDE that allows for a variety
of plugins to support a variety of languages.
This is exactly what Metrowerks does now and it is not any vaporware
that is to be done at some point in the future.
You then list a bunch of plugins that are listed for different IDE's
and apparently have nothing to do with Eclipse. But you could also take
and make these same plugins for CodeWarrior. You should probably ask
these third party vendors to do them for CodeWarrior,.
Go to the person that makes the refractory plugin for JEdit and ask them
to port it to CodeWarrior too. I'd be happy to work with someone to do
this. We are currently working with lots of 3rd parties to provide
more extensions to CodeWarrior for Java.
We appear to do everything you want but obviously I am not understanding
what you are saying so I'd be happy if you could explain it better. For
now all I see is that you want a vapor ware product and other tools.
Please let me know what I am missing in your suggestion. We really do
want to improve our tools to do what customers need them to do.
