But let me quote from CW6 license agreement: "...This License allows you to use each host-platform version of the Software on a single computer corresponding to that host-platform version, provided that you are the only individual using the Software. You may also use a copy of the Software on a home or portable computer for each host-platform, as long as that extra copy is never running at the same time the Software is running on the primary computer for each host-platform on which you use the Software. You may make one additional copy of the Software in the form in which it is provided to you, only for backup purposes. You must reproduce on all copies you make of the Software the Metrowerks copyright notice and any other proprietary legends that are on the original copy of the Software. ..." So, let me see if I got this right: Besides the install on my primary machine, a second install on my home computer or portable is allowed. A third install/copy for backup purposes is allowed. Now, the term "portable" and when I actually choose to use my backup can be interpretated rather generously so I don't violate the license. Ok? Will the new license change in any of these aspects? Perhaps I've missed something, but how will the upcoming activation handle multiple OS installs on the same machine? Perhaps you should inform your dealers/distributors about this. At the moment you don't speak the same langage. My distributor tells me the product *is* locked to a single machine/hardware and that the reason behind this is software piracy. Nothing's mentioned about increased flexibility or giving better value to your customers. Regards, /Anders
